We hope you consider joining us!</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>The Information Security Apprentice is an early-career, learning-focused role designed to provide hands-on experience across information security and security operations. Under the guidance and supervision of theSenior Manager ofInformation Security, this position supports day-to-day activities related to threat monitoring, vulnerability management, documentation, and security awareness efforts.</p> <p>The apprentice willassistin incident response workflows, security tool monitoring, access control reviews, and compliance-driven tasks that help protect Sage Hospitality Group and the Hotels and Restaurants managed by the Company. This role is developmental in nature and intended to progress toward increasing responsibility as skills grow.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Security Operations :</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assistwith triaging and documenting security alerts from MDR,EDRand other securitytools under supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Support incident response activities by collecting information, documenting findings, and escalating asappropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor security dashboards, email alerts, and notifications for potential threats, escalating issues to senior staff as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Helpmaintainand update incidentresponseplaybooks, logs, and operational documentation.</p> </li></ul> <p>Information Security:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assistwith basic risk assessments, access reviews, and security audits.</p> </li><li> <p>Help track vulnerability scan results, remediation/patchingstatus, and follow-up actions.</p> </li><li> <p>Support security awareness efforts, including phishing simulation tracking andInformation Security training coordination.</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to updating internal policies, procedures, and asset inventories.</p> </li><li> <p>Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to support the team's continuous improvement.</p> </li></ul> <p>OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>All other duties as assigned,requested, ordeemednecessary by management. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY DUTIES</p> <p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The apprentice may collaborate withSageIT team members, managed service providers(MSP),Managed Security Services Providers (MSSP)andproperty staff as part of assigned tasks.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education/Formal Training</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school education or equivalent experience, college degree or pursuit of degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, an IT,Information Security, or technical training program preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant certifications or coursework (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Google Cybersecurity, AWS, etc.) are a plus but notrequired.</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>1-2 years of experience incustomer support,IT,Information Security, technical support, or related fields.</p> </li><li> <p>Priorexposure toinformationsecurity concepts, SOC coursework,networking,or hands-on labs is helpful but notrequired.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstratedhighinterest in information security through projects, training, or certifications.</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellentunderstanding ofInformationSecurity concepts such as the CIA triad, least privilege, authentication, and logging.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with security tools (EDR, SIEM/MDR)andwillingness to learn quickly.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow instructions, and work with supervision while developing independence.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ongoing training and feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional after-hoursassistancemay berequiredduring high-severity incidents (with supervision).</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
