Set up and operate x-ray equipment, along with properly positioning the patient, in order to produce high quality diagnostic images in conjunction with the radiologists in the performance of diagnostic procedures.</p> <p>Main Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Diagnostic Radiology Technologists are responsible for the performance of diagnostic radiology procedures. </li><li>Educates patient and others regarding procedures and related information as demonstrated by documentation and feedback. </li><li>Technologist is responsible for room preparation in anticipation of the examination; i.e., assuring that the supplies necessary for the examination are present and in a state of readiness. </li><li>Maintain records of patients treated, examinations performed, views taken and settings used. </li><li>Responsible for the proper power up and utilization of warming techniques for equipment. </li><li>Ability to maneuver all radiology equipment, </li><li>May be moved to other offices upon request based upon the business need of Holston Medical Group on an occasional basis </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience/Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Two - Five years RT experience </li><li>Thorough knowledge of various medical imaging procedures and equipment including: proper technique and positioning, handling and administering ionizing radiation, radiographic anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. </li><li>Applicants must be registered by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and will be required to obtain a State of Tennessee license within thirty days of hire </li><li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required </li><li>Knowledge of radiation safety techniques: Collimation, Radiation Monitoring, Protection (Time, Distance, and Shielding). </li><li>Operational knowledge of computerized/digital radiography is preferred </li><li>PACS Operating Knowledge </li></ul> <p>"We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
