<p>Sr Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Sr. Electrical Engineers - IoT Embedded Systems</p> <p>Brookfield, WI (53005)</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design, prototype, test, and troubleshooting of platform embedded electronics firmware and hardware for Internet of Things (IoT) wireless systems and applications to meet the needs of the organization. </li><li>Use laboratory equipment such as network, power, spectrum, and protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems. </li><li>Conduct experiments, perform simulations, and draw concise, logical conclusions by analyzing data. </li><li>Create test plans for electronic components and assemblies within scope of project or platform development. </li><li>Provide candid and effective communications up, down and across the organization on progress, barrier removal, and escalation of business risks/opportunities. </li><li>Work with component suppliers and manufacturers for proper component selection on existing projects and provide input into future product needs. </li><li>Demonstrate company's culture of high performance and agility by independently creating Work Breakdown Structure and driving to critical milestones. </li><li>Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization's needs. </li><li>Serve as a role model of company's culture while mentoring, guiding, and coaching junior Engineers. Grow the ability to lead and manage a small team. </li><li>Design and qualify new solutions to applicable wireless regulatory certification standards such as FCC, IC, and CE. </li><li>Supervise 3-5 Electrical Engineers. </li></ul> <p>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 5 years of progressively more responsible relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation; OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 2 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation.</p> <p>Work or academic experience must have included:</p> <ul> <li>Embedded programming, schematic capture, PCB layout, antenna tuning, circuit simulation, power analysis, analog & digital system design trade-offs (C and Python). </li><li>Bluetooth protocol (Core spec 5.1, 5.2, 5.3) and related advanced technologies (Channel Sounding, HADM, AoA/AoD Direction Finding, or PAwR, LE Coded PHY). </li><li>Short-range wireless protocols (WiFi, Zigbee or NFC). </li><li>Long-range wireless protocols (LTE, 5G, 5G-NR or sub-GHz RFs). </li><li>GNSS technologies (GPS, SBAS, or Network/Base-Rover RTK). </li><li>IoT messaging protocols (MQTT or AT-commands) and relevant cloud integrations (AWS/GCP). </li><li>Sensors (IMUs, hall-effect, or barometric). </li></ul> <p>10% of domestic and international travel required.</p> <p>#LI-DNI</p> <p>Milwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.</p>
