<p>The Payroll Manager will be responsible for end-to-end payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely processing. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate payroll records, improving processes and supporting financial reporting.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Process weekly multi-state payroll including wages, bonuses, deductions and garnishments for approximately 3,000 employees in an accurate and timely manner </li><li>Serve as subject matter expert for UKG Ready, supporting configuration, testing and execution of payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions and legal entities </li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for payroll, addressing employee inquiries and supporting audit and global tax compliance requests. </li><li>Ensure compliance with statutory payroll requirements and labor regulations for on-site and multi-state workforce </li><li>Identify any potential risks and implement internal controls to maintain accurate payroll records and processes. </li><li>Import employees' pay information and validate that all data (e.g. wages, deductions, 401K match, taxes, expense reimbursements, etc.) is accurate before processing </li><li>Provide accurate payroll reports for management reporting regulatory agencies as needed </li><li>Receive and process payroll change information from branches and Human Resources team </li><li>Collaborate with HR, Finance and Operations to map payroll elements to project costing and time tracking </li><li>Manage integrations between payroll and third-party systems such as time capture and benefits, travel reimbursement and accounting systems </li><li>Build strong partnerships with internal business partners (HR, Operations, Finance) to provide employees with exceptional payroll experience </li><li>Responsible for month-end close, including reviewing/approving journal entries, account reconciliations and payroll accruals </li><li>Support payroll audits, reconciliations, year-end processing and reporting using Power BI </li><li>Provide functional support, testing, documentation and training to internal users during implementation and BAU </li><li>Ad-hoc requests for reporting or analysis </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as manage a team and foster teamwork </li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy </li><li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to thrive in high volume environment and multi-task </li><li>Specific experience working in a corporate environment. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Payroll Professional or related certification (CPM, CGPS, etc.) </li><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field </li><li>8 -10+ years of payroll or related experience </li><li>3-5 years management experience </li></ul> <p>Technology Skills:</p> <ul> <li>UKG Ready or similar HCM system </li><li>Familiarity / Competency with Dynamics365, or other ERP/accounting systems. </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) </li><li>Microsoft Excel: Expert in analytics, data management, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc </li><li>Video conferencing software - Microsoft Teams </li><li>Other Reporting: Microsoft Power BI </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work under a hybrid schedule </li><li>Ability to work extended hours as needed. </li></ul> <p>#LI-MS</p> <p>#LI-Hybrid</p>
