<p>As an NPI Launch Engineer - GA, on Semi, you will be given ownership of a specific manufacturing area and manage all operations within these bounds. You will take ownership and coordinate all part, process and equipment changes within your area. You will regularly collaborate cross-functionally with upstream and downstream teams, taking ownership of build planning and asset delivery to meet critical company milestones.</p> <ul> <li>Take ownership of entire workstream for your production area, managing inputs from upstream teams, coordinating day to day actions with internal manufacturing teams, and providing asset outputs to downstream customers </li><li>Delivery of products, assets, and trucks to meet critical program milestones </li><li>Establish and maintain regular readiness / status meetings where you will review risks, upcoming milestones, project timelines and key deliverables </li><li>Oversee finalization and validation of MBOM with a focus on variant management, including all change management action items </li><li>Continually consider Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) factors in daily activities </li><li>Ownership of facilitating discussions around root cause analysis, resolution of issues in triage and driving closure of open action items </li><li>Collaborate daily with manufacturing teams (Quality, Process, Parts Control, EHS, Equipment and Material Planning) and regularly provide feedback / deliverables to up/downstream teams (Design, Testing, Service, Remanufacturing) </li><li>Degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year experience in automotive, technical or high volume / high complexity manufacturing, including internships </li><li>Manufacturing knowledge - firm understanding of how complex production lines operate including key items such as collaboration between departments, input / output dependencies, process development, quality controls, etc. </li><li>Strong problem-solving mindset to approach open ended problems with creative solutions, focused on solving problems quickly to maintain production targets, and pushing feedback upstream through Design for Manufacturing to ensure issues are solved upstream of production </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills to efficiently communicate high level engineering problems to senior leadership or production associates </li><li>Organized documentation skills to communicate issues, document procedure, and provide feedback for downstream / upstream teams to resolve the root cause of the issue </li><li>Collaborative mindset to lead group discussions around RCA, process design, process validation, and assembly methods </li><li>Understand basic CAD models and manufacturing drawings, proficient in Microsoft Office and JIRA </li></ul>
