We learn, grow, and achieve more - in our careers and in our communities.</p> <p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>This position supervises and manages the activities of Respiratory Care Therapists and Technicians, coordinates respiratory services with referral sources, patients and physicians, and is responsible for productivity and quality control reviews. The supervisor assists with assessment of patient's respiratory care needs in conjunction with the patient care evaluation. This position also supervises activities of affiliating respiratory care students, assists with department computer operations, and performs miscellaneous other duties.</p> <p>Responsibilities And Duties:</p> <p>40%</p> <p>Daily Operations</p> <p>Supervise and direct activities of respiratory care therapists, and technicians.</p> <p>Assign work areas and determines priorities. Ensure that staffing is adequate to meet department needs, fill in as needed.</p> <p>Participate in on-call rotation, coordinate respiratory services with referral sources, patients and physicians: solve and prevent problems by conferring with nurse managers and physicians.</p> <p>Assists with assessment of patient respiratory needs in conjunction with patient care evaluation; assist with assessment of patient respiratory needs in view of therapy ordered and available staff; confers with physicians to adjust therapy based on clinical patient assessment</p> <p>20%</p> <p>Productivity/Quality</p> <p>Reviews productivity and quality control</p> <p>Assesses performance/productivity and is able to determine and forecast staffing, inventory levels, and equipment needs</p> <p>Maintains quality of patient care by monitoring associate charting and job performance</p> <p>Reviews all incident reports</p> <p>20%</p> <p>Operations</p> <p>Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing new department policies, procedures and protocols.</p> <p>Conduct special in-services to nursing staff, medical staff or other professionals.</p> <p>Assists in evaluation of new products</p> <p>Recommend and monitor methods for cost containment</p> <p>15%</p> <p>Associate Management</p> <p>Orient and train new associates.</p> <p>Provide input for performance evaluations.</p> <p>Monitor and enter associate timekeeping and payroll information.</p> <p>Participate in interviews and provide input on new associates.</p> <p>5%</p> <p>Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager</p> <p>As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.</p> <p>The job profile provides an overview of responsibilities and duties and is not intended to be an exhaustive list and is subject to change at any time</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's DegreeDL - Driver's License - Department of Motor Vehicles</p> <p>Additional Job Description:</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred</p> <p>RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist</p> <p>BLS ACLS</p> <p>NRP</p> <p>SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE</p> <p>Field of study in respiratory care. Knowledge of respiratory care technology.
