The successful candidate will lead and contribute tosystematic literature reviews, includingPRISMA-compliant scoping reviewsandreviews of reviews, aimed at shaping emerging research agendas and informing evidence-based practice. These reviews will targethigh-impact journalsand are intended to becomeseminal referencesin key areas of growing academic and professional interest.The postdoctoral researcher will also contribute substantively to the development and co-authorship of grant proposals submitted to NIH and other federal, state, and private funding agencies, supporting study design, evidence synthesis, and the articulation of research significance, innovation, and approach within grant-funded research programs. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to be involved in co-developing multiple publications from ongoing work in the Institute. Lastly, the successful candidate will assist with the planning and execution of an interdisciplinary conference encompassing speaker coordination, scheduling, and alignment of conference themes with ongoing research, grant development, and publication efforts.</p> <p>Appointment Details</p> <ul> <li>Full-time, 12-month appointment for two years (second year contingent upon successful performance). </li><li>$65,000 + benefits. </li><li>Opportunities for professional development and collaboration across disciplines. </li><li>Laptop will be provided. Utah residency required; hybrid remote/on-site schedule available. </li><li>Target start date between August 1 and September 1 of 2026. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct systematic literature reviews following PRISMA guidelines. </li><li>Develop and execute scoping reviews and meta-reviews ("reviews of reviews"). </li><li>Identify gaps, trends, and future directions in research related to design, health, and resilience. </li><li>Collaborate with faculty and research teams to ensure methodological rigor and scholarly impact. </li><li>Prepare manuscripts for submission to high-impact journals. </li><li>Maintain transparent documentation of review protocols and processes. </li><li>Assist in the planning, coordination, and scholarly framing of an interdisciplinary conference (in the domain of Mental Health and the Built Environment) and then supporting dissemination of conference outcomes through publications, grants, and other scholarly outputs. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., design studies, public health, environmental psychology, architecture, urban planning/studies/design, geography, resilience studies, or related disciplines). </li><li>Knowledge of interdisciplinary research in design, health, and resilience. </li></ul> <p>Preferences</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience with systematic review methodologies and PRISMA checklist compliance. </li><li>Demonstrated experience working on NIH or other externally funded research projects, including participation in the preparation of competitive grant proposals. </li><li>Strong analytical and writing skills with a record of peer-reviewed publications. </li><li>Familiarity with bibliometric tools and reference management software (e.g., Covidence, EndNote, Zotero). </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. </li></ul> <p>Type Benefited Staff Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
