<p>REPORT TO:</p> <p>>Quality Assurance Supervisor</p> <p>Reference:</p> <p>999-05474 Color Certification Requirements</p> <p>GENRAL JOB DESCRIPTIONS:</p> <p>The QA Technician position has two primary functions: production auditing and receiving inspection. The production auditing consists of continuous monitoring of the production processes to confirm product conformance including first-off approvals. The receiving inspection technician verifies product conformance of outside supplied materials including disposition of rejected materials and performing computer transactions for inventory purposes.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: (All QA Technicians)</p> <ul> <li>Interact with internal customers. </li><li>Meets quality and quantity levels of assigned work, housekeeping, and safe work practices. </li><li>Generates reports as required and verify accuracy of all documentation. </li><li>Monitor and enforce ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14000 policies and procedures. </li><li>Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: (All QA Technicians assigned to production auditing)</p> <ul> <li>Performs first-off inspection for set-up approval, material change, color approval, and die changes. </li><li>Gauge parts per inspection instructions. </li><li>Record inspection results and material dispositions. </li><li>Identify materials for proper disposition such as OK to use, Hold, Rejected, etc. </li><li>Audit compliance to policies/procedures to assure consistent product conformance. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: (All QA Technicians assigned to receiving inspection)</p> <ul> <li>Perform inspection per inspection instructions on supplied materials. </li><li>Identify materials for proper disposition such as OK to use, Hold, Rejected, etc. </li><li>Audit compliance to policies/procedures to assure consistent product conformance. </li><li>Record inspection results and material dispositions. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: (All QA Technicians assigned to rejected supplier materials)</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate disposition of rejected materials including requesting return authorizations from suppliers. </li><li>Generate all paperwork associated with the disposition of rejected materials including scrap tickets, return authorizations, shipping documents, inventory adjustments, reject notifications, etc. </li><li>Sort and/or rework rejected parts as required. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: (All QA Technicians assigned to data entry)</p> <ul> <li>Enter data from received materials for inventory purposes. </li><li>Enter data from inspections performed by QA production auditing. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>At least 1 year experience in the quality field. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Above average mathematical skills, written skills, and verbal skills </li><li>Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc. </li><li>Computer literate </li><li>Capable of overall professionalism in a business environment </li><li>Must be able to judge color visually and must pass the Farnsworth - Munsell 100 Hue test yearly. </li></ul> <p>TRAINING SPECIFIC to POSITION:</p> <ul> <li>Capable of using basic measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc. </li></ul> <p>OTHER:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to travel for extended periods of time with limited prior notice </li><li>Must be able to work any assigned shift </li></ul> <p>This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are exclusive standards of the position.
