Under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Staff Physician provides high-quality, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families, while supporting HCC's commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver primary care services, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, referrals, and appropriate documentation. </li><li>Collaborate with physician assistants through established practice agreements. </li><li>Participate in care management, prevention services, and chronic disease management programs. </li><li>Serve as a key clinical leader, guiding medical staff and participating in quality improvement initiatives. </li><li>Respond to national emergencies and public health crises, as needed, per state and federal guidelines. </li><li>Maintain continuity of care through referrals, coordination with hospital departments, and ongoing community relationships. </li><li>Engage in hiring processes, team meetings, and performance improvement efforts. </li><li>Participate in after-hours and weekend call rotation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited medical school. </li><li>Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Michigan. </li><li>Board certified or board eligible (must be certified within 2 years of residency completion). </li><li>Insurable for liability coverage in Michigan. </li><li>Current CPR certification. </li><li>Ongoing professional development through CME/CEU activities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills. </li><li>Effective interpersonal communication, especially with patients in sensitive or stressful situations. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. </li><li>Organizational and leadership skills to support clinic operations and staff. </li><li>Commitment to serving diverse populations and improving community health. </li><li>Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. </li></ul>
