<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Technical Support Specialist provides responsive technical assistance to internal users to ensure reliable access to technology and systems necessary for daily operations. This role supports departmental objectives by diagnosing, resolving, and preventing technology-related issues that</p> <p>impact productivity. The position serves as a key point of contact for technical inquiries and contributes to maintaining stable, secure, and efficient work environments. The Technical Support Specialist collaborates with team members to improve service delivery and supports ongoing</p> <p>technology initiatives.</p> <p>Primary Duties</p> <p>Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides technical support to users by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Installs, configures, maintains, and upgrades computer equipment, peripheral devices, and related components to support business operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Responds to service requests in person, by phone, or electronically, documenting issues and resolutions according to established procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists users with system access, basic training, and guidance on proper use of technology tools and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs routine maintenance activities to ensure systems operate efficiently and securely.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with team members to escalate complex issues and support technology improvement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate records of assets, support activities, and inventory as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <p>Requires an Associate degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline; 2+ years of experience providing technical support in a professional environment, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Bachelor's degree preferred. Industry-recognized technical certifications preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common office technology.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using logical and systematic approaches.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. • Ability to follow established procedures while adapting to new challenges and priorities. • Effective time management and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Mental and Physical Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the workday.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Use of fine and gross motor skills for handling tools, hardware, and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined or limited-access spaces when servicing equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to concentrate, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively to multiple service requests.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform tasks primarily in an indoor office or operational setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional exposure to noise from office or equipment operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Interaction with computer equipment, electrical components, and peripheral devices.</p> </li><li> <p>Compliance with all applicable safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Regular collaboration and communication with users, team members, and technical staff.</p> </li><li> <p>This role may be classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, requiring adherence to established safety procedures and awareness of potential hazards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer:</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
