Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This job performs duties necessary to treat patients in accordance with the physicians' orders and department policy. Performs all procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist or Respiratory Therapy Technician. Job duties will be assigned based on student's clinical progression and competency validation.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with the physician's order, departmental policy, and the Respiratory Care Guidelines (RT Consult). May not take verbal orders or modify orders. 50% </li><li>Communicates well with supervisors, therapists and technicians. Provides a complete and accurate report.10% </li><li>May perform blood gasses from all sites. Analyzes and reports results accurately.10% </li><li>Accurately and completely documents and charges for respiratory care procedures and provides patient and family education as appropriate. 20% </li><li>Adheres to infection control and quality initiatives.
