The position will have responsibilities for leading and contributing to biochemistry efforts for lead optimization on a variety of targets and programs. The candidate will join a dynamic team comprised of an experienced group of drug discovery professionals. The candidate should have a strong interest in working in an enthusiastic environment with aggressive research goals and timelines. This position will work across our three-site model between Cambridge, MA, New Haven, CT & Pittsburgh, PA. Some travel may be required.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Utilize your research experience to independently design and execute experiments, analyze data, and determine next steps </li><li>Lead biochemistry efforts on cross-functional project teams by setting the biochemical approach, timelines and communicating results </li><li>Develop assays to assess parameters such as ligand binding, enzyme activity and compound potency </li><li>Manage relationships with external partners </li><li>Maintain an electronic lab notebook </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. or M.S. with 5+ years of industry experience </li><li>Extensive experience developing biochemical or biophysical assays </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with experience troubleshooting complex assays </li><li>Experience with high throughput assay development is a plus </li><li>Experience in mechanistic enzymology is a plus </li><li>Experience working with membrane proteins is a plus </li></ul>
