Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources</p> <p>Subject: Anticipated Opening- Language Support (Grant-Funded)</p> <p>Brockton Public Schools is seeking a Language Support for Edison Academy to support students participating in the Home Health Aid class. This position is grant funded through the Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership (MAP) and provides and opportunity to help students navigate the Home Health Aid. This role involves interpreting, translating and ensuring non-English Speaking students understand the material provided, and guide students with online classes, homework help or any other relevant class info.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Multilingual candidates preferred (Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, and Portuguese) </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. </li><li>Previous experience in translation or interpretation, particularly in a professional setting ( </li><li>Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information appropriately. </li><li>Ability to work with the students at Healthcare Edu office </li><li>Must be able to engage in phone, video, or in person communication for extended periods. </li><li>Some travel may be required </li></ul> <p>Reports to:Edison Academy Leadership Team Work Year & Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>Rate: $39.70/hour, capped at $2,183.50 total </li><li>Funding: Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership (MAP) Grant </li></ul>
