OST is successful because we listen to our clients, we learn from our clients, and we know our clients.</p> <p>Sr. HR Specialist</p> <p>Job Duties (Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position):</p> <ul> <li>Manage the full employee life cycle, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes. </li><li>Oversee and administer employee benefit programs, leave policies, and compensation-related activities. </li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert on complex, precedent-setting, and sensitive classification and staffing matters. </li><li>Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of HR policies, federal regulations, and labor laws. </li><li>Support compliance and audit readiness efforts by maintaining accurate and complete personnel records. </li><li>Partner with leadership to identify and resolve workforce challenges, including employee relations and engagement. </li><li>Develop and deliver training programs on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. </li><li>Lead or support initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and workplace culture. </li><li>Conduct workforce planning and assist in succession planning strategies. </li><li>Ensure adherence to applicable employment laws and regulations. </li></ul> <p>Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources or related discipline </li><li>Knowledge of HR laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC) </li><li>Experience handling sensitive employee relations and classification issues </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Secret Clearance </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have):</p> <ul> <li>Professional HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) </li><li>Experience in a government contracting or federal HR environment </li><li>Familiarity with USAJobs or other federal hiring systems </li><li>Working knowledge of labor relations and collective bargaining agreements </li><li>Experience with policy development and organizational change initiatives </li></ul> <p>This is a full-time position paying a base salary of $85,000, and full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance.
