<p>Purpose</p> <p>As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for making sure any delays or deviations from requested pickup and required delivery are effectively communicated to the affected parties in as timely of a manner as possible.</p> <p>Areas of Responsibility / Tasks</p> <p>Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.</p> <ul> <li>Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity, importance and/or priority) </li><li>Act as a direct contact for Account Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Product Coordinators, and Management for any follow up on delayed shipments </li><li>Track and trace all shipments within a timeframe that allows for proactive responses to delays Keep delay reason coding up to date. </li><li>Complete follow up on all pickup and deliveries in a time frame that allows for a proactive response from the rest of the Transportation team </li><li>Manage the delay reason coding for all delayed shipments and determine how to prevent them </li><li>Entire month should be coded by the following week of a new month to allow for complete monthly reports to the commercial teams </li><li>Support excellent carrier and warehouse relationships </li><li>Secondary Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity, importance and/or priority) </li><li>Ability to provide rotational afterhours coverage for 2-3 weeks of the year </li><li>Collaborate with entire Transportation team to reschedule pickups, arrange redeliveries and expedites as well as keeping necessary parties informed. </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Not Applicable </li></ul> <p>Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA)</p> <p>To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of observable behaviors and essential knowledge, skill, and abilities required of a successful incumbent within our culture.</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of transportation modes and warehouse operations </li><li>Must possess excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education:</p> </li><li> <p>Degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree</p> </li><li> <p>Experience:</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transportation and/or warehousing preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Licenses / Certifications:</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license - required</p> </li><li> <p>Language:</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in English required</p> </li><li> <p>Bi-Lingual - Spanish or Portuguese is a plus</p> </li></ul>
