This includes, but not limited to: T </li><li>Thorough knowledge of the P&L and Balance Sheet, as well as the impact of journal entries to all financial statements. </li><li>Individual should have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management. </li><li>Individual will be required to guide staff accountants when necessary and in the absence of manager. </li><li>Under moderate supervision, performs full performance professional level accounting work, processes financial transactions, prepares financial records, reports and invoices; and guides management through financial decision making to ensure compliance with fiscal rules and polices in accordance with using grant guidelines, including GAAP, GASB, FASB accounting regulations, and 2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). </li></ul> <p>Experience Required</p> <p>Minimum 4 years of experience in general or grant accounting fields.</p> <p>Experience in sponsored project (post-award) administration or professional level accounting experience reconciling accounting discrepancies, analyzing expenditures and preparing financial reports.</p> <p>Experience with account analysis, balance sheet review, journal posting, bank reconciliations. Intermediate level spreadsheet skills; experience with ERP/GL financial reporting software. Preferred, not required: Healthcare experience and grant/foundation accounting.</p> <p>Education Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in accounting, finance or business administration and at least four years accounting experience.</p> <p>Special Requirements</p> <p>Ability to cover Manager's responsibilities during PTO. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of professionalism.
