The ideal candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team-based environment.</p> <p>PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Utilize proven engineering disciplines and practices to:</p> <ul> <li>Maintaining and improvement of automation systems, tools, fixtures and gages </li><li>Providing safe and efficient work areas </li><li>Problem solving/root cause analysis and development of action items </li><li>Support of production to achieve OEE goals and scrap reduction targets </li><li>Provide technical leadership in supported areas </li><li>Assist in new product line launches </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other applicable field of Engineering </li><li>7+ years experience in automation, controls or manufacturing engineering </li><li>Proficient with MS Office products </li><li>Expert in CAD, including 2D and 3D modeling and assemblies </li><li>Expert in PC/PLC programming, robotics or other machine control systems </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, including knowledge of FMEA & SPC </li><li>Project management skills, including strong communication and collaboration with cross functional teams </li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment </li><li>Knowledge of plastic injection molding, welding, or winding equipment </li></ul> <p>LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>This role is based in Lexington, OH but will require travel to support program launch activities, as necessary.</p> <p>Stoneridge is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
