<p>Job Title: Machinist</p> <p>Location: Denver, Colorado</p> <p>Compensation: $52.00/hour (includes shift differential) + $180.00 per diem</p> <p>Saxon is currently seeking experienced Machinist professionals to join our team on a 2nd shift schedule (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Must have Mills & Lathes experience</p> <p>Compensation: $52.00/hour (includes shift differential) + $180.00 per diem</p> <p>Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools. Perform machining operations such as milling, turning, boring, and threading parts on various materials including castings, forgings, billets, and bar stock. Having general knowledge of variety of machine tools, including manual mills, lathes, and CNC machines, proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and technical work instructions having the ability to use basic measurement tools and gauges and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional manner.</p> <p>If this is you, we want to hear from you!</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings </li><li>Set up machine tools per work instructions </li><li>Operate machine tools according to standard procedures </li><li>Inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications </li><li>Perform secondary operations during machining cycles such as deburring, hand grinding, bench grinding, and polishing </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of related experience or training </li><li>Or an equivalent combination of education and experience </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Extended hours and/or overtime may be required based on workload. Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with frequent exposure to high noise levels and heat. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical components, solvents, and petroleum-based lubricants.
