<p>Job Title: Project Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and organizing contract documents, verifying subcontractor submittals, coordinating with local authorities, and maintaining a neat and orderly field office. You will play a vital role in supporting projects through purchase order management, subcontract tracking, and project close-out document preparation.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Review, organize, and maintain contract documents and shop drawings. </li><li>Verify subcontractor submittals to ensure they meet project specifications. </li><li>Build relationships with local authorities and manage subcontractor and vendor access. </li><li>Maintain a neat and orderly field office and job files. </li><li>Assist with purchase orders, subcontract tracking, project close-out documents, and punch list completion. </li><li>Prepare meeting minutes, write RFIs, and resolve issues via telephone. </li><li>Address project issues creatively and involve upper management when necessary. </li><li>Promote company values and assist subcontractors and suppliers. </li><li>Utilize mobile technology for collaboration and job duties. </li><li>Track permits, sub-permits, and project issues to ensure schedule adherence. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Expertise in reading plans, working with concrete and masonry systems, structural modifications, demolition, and carpentry. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate with and lead subcontractors in their tasks. </li><li>Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, Life Safety protocols, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen setups. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project). </li><li>Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in theme parks is a plus. </li><li>Understanding or willingness to learn construction techniques and practices. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role involves working in both office and construction site environments.
