<p>IMMEDIATE OPENING: Medical Assistant Opportunity</p> <p>Interview this week available - Available to start ASAP</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. Your responsibilities will include performing nursing and administrative duties, preparing patients for examinations and treatments, and ensuring the smooth</p> <p>operation of the medical office.A diploma from a Medical Assistant program is required. While certification is not mandatory, it is highly preferred.</p> <p>We also offer opportunities for non-certified medical assistants to obtain certification and receive training through our company!</p> <ul> <li>Certification not required, will help get certification while employed* </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform nursing and administrative duties to support patient care. </li><li>Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs and reviewing medications and allergies. </li><li>Enter health questionnaire information into the Electronic Medical Records system, WebChart. </li><li>Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies. </li><li>Assist physicians or physician assistants in preparing for medical procedures. </li><li>Verify patient identities using date of birth and full name. </li><li>Perform medical procedures and complete accompanying paperwork. </li><li>Promote office discharge process by scheduling tests, appointments, and writing lab orders and prescriptions. </li><li>Triage telephone calls for referral to physicians or nurse practitioners. </li><li>Restock examination rooms weekly. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in good standing. </li><li>Experience with patient care and vitals. </li><li>Proficiency in blood collection and phlebotomy. </li><li>Experience with insurance billing. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>MA certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NHA, etc.) in good standing is a plus. </li><li>Experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, or pediatrics. </li><li>Familiarity with WebChart (EMR system). </li><li>1-2 years of clinical MA experience. </li><li>Completion of Medical Assistant schooling. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Off on Sat/Sun. </li><li>Candidates should be prepared to take on various tasks as needed and must maintain a professional demeanor. </li><li>Fast-paced and requires the ability to act calmly and effectively in busy or stressful situations. </li><li>This position includes a 6-week training program rotating throughout all pods/providers. </li><li>The work environment is fast-paced, and adherence to policies for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal professional appearance is required. </li><li><em>Medical Assistant diploma is Required. Certification is NOT required but preferred. Will help get CCMA Certification after training period!</em> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to act calmly and effectively in busy or stressful situations. The role operates from 8am to 5:00pm. No weekend work is required.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
