<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Services existing life & health accounts. Provides support for producers to facilitate the growth of new business and to retain existing clients. Directs sales of individual life & health products.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides daily customer service to existing customers, documenting all conversations into the agency management system.</p> </li><li> <p>Discusses insurance needs with customers and advises customers on proper products to meet their particular needs. Reviews existing accounts and suggests additional coverage's.</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains quotes for prospects.</p> </li><li> <p>Negotiates terms and premiums with underwriters and has the authority to bind coverage on behalf of underwriters of various insurance agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Services existing clients with day to day needs necessary for their insurance program.</p> </li><li> <p>Must maintain a license in good standing as required with the IN Department of Insurance.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have valid driver's license.</p> </li><li> <p>Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.</p> </li></ul> <p>NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Performs all other duties as assigned.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE/SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience preferred. </li><li>Previous risk management and customer service experience preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of agency management and carrier rating systems. </li><li>Good communication skills. </li><li>Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential. </li><li>Ability to work independently to achieve sales goals. </li><li>Attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree preferred.</p> <p>LICENSES</p> <p>Indiana Life & Health license required.</p> <p>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
