<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Surgery</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Research Technicians to join the laboratory of Dr. Shiyou Chen. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and productive research environment focused on advancing scientific discovery.</p> <p>The Research Technician will play a key role in supporting daily laboratory operations and assisting with a variety of ongoing research projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Conducting experiments and collecting data </li><li>Assisting with the preparation of research reports </li><li>Managing mouse colonies and perform genotyping </li><li>Performing molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, PCR, and immunostaining </li><li>Processing mouse tissues and conducting histological analyses </li><li>Preparing reagents and maintaining cell cultures </li><li>Capturing, analyzing, and/or managing data sets </li><li>Ensuring proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintaining a clean, safe lab environment </li></ul> <p>This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a collaborative research setting and is ideal for individuals interested in biomedical research and laboratory science.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>Shift Type: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm</p> <p>Office/Administrative Hours: No - Position will not have Office/Admin Hours</p> <p>Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: No</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.</p> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Salary Range: $13.75 - $16.48</p> <p>Grade: GGS - 004</p> <p>University Title: RESEARCH/LAB TECHNICIAN</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>In addition to filling out the online application please provide resume.</p> <p>Benefit Eligibility</p> <p>This position is eligible for University benefits.
