As part of Beacon Health System, patients have access to providers not only at this location but can also access resources and services from across the entire health system.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>As a Flexible Acuity Unit Charge Nurse, you'll report to the Director and/or Manager. You will be the administrative representative and nursing leader for a designated shift. You'll assign job duties and patient care in order to facilitate high quality, cost-effective care. You will collaborate with other professional, clinical, and ancillary staff in providing quality care to patients.</p> <p>Flexible Acuity Unit Charge RN Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Identifying and addressing patient concerns promptly. </li><li>Managing bed assignments and patient transfers. </li><li>Communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff. </li><li>Supporting unit performance improvement and peer review. </li><li>Interpreting and enforcing hospital policies. </li><li>Adjusting staffing based on patient needs and skill levels. </li><li>Providing direct care when needed. </li><li>Assigning care appropriately and resolving staffing issues. </li><li>Reporting supply or service concerns. </li><li>Assisting with performance reviews and staff development. </li><li>Planning and prioritizing patient care. </li><li>Maintaining accountability and competence. </li><li>Upholding patient dignity and confidentiality. </li><li>Delegating responsibly while retaining accountability. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>You bring strong clinical expertise and leadership to your unit, offering constructive feedback and participating in decision-making processes. As a Charge RN, you're flexible and responsive to scheduling needs, supporting both staff and departmental operations. You demonstrate excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage unit activities and resolve issues. Your ability to build effective relationships with staff, physicians, and patients makes you a respected role model.
