<p>This position is responsible for the brand and image of the DCT facility and equipment, as well as overall bus cleanliness.</p> <p>The starting pay rate for this position is $18.98 per hour. </p> <p>Qualifications include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience; </li><li>A valid Driver's License, as well as an acceptable driving record; </li><li>Successful completion of post-offer medical examination and of previous employment verification and criminal background investigation; a post-offer drug and alcohol screen is also required.  </li><li>Knowledge of the federal, state and local requirements, methods, materials, tools, equipment, and standard practices of bus driving and of BMV traffic laws, defensive driving and vehicle safety; </li><li>Ability to operate a passenger bus, wheelchair lift, and computer; </li><li>Knowledge of preventative maintenance measures connected with buses/vans; </li><li>Knowledge of general facility upkeep procedures and routines; </li><li>Knowledge of blood-borne pathogen procedures and knowledge of sanitation of bodily fluids; </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to manage hazardous chemicals;  </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written; </li><li>Ability to understand and carry-out oral and written instructions; </li><li>Ability to work independently and respond to situations using sound judgment;  </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and to capably interact with co-workers, supervisors and other members of various departments and vendors; and ability to work afternoons and evenings, within the approximate hours of noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: </p> <ul> <li>Cleaning and sanitizing DCT vehicles and buses by adhering to a routine cleaning schedule;  </li><li>Detail buses to a set standard as represented by DCT's brand standards;  </li><li>Report any vehicle maintenance issues using the standards set out by DCT;  </li><li>Cleaning responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, detail cleaning, window washing, and other custodian-related assignments; </li><li>Maintain regular checks on supplies for buses; </li><li>Operate DCT-owned vehicles as needed;  </li><li>Stock supplies regularly in restrooms, breakroom, and other common areas;  </li><li>Cleans and maintains facility, including but not limited to floors, windows, lighting fixtures, restrooms, breakroom countertops, appliances, and office furniture; </li><li>Responsible for overall facility trash disposal and recycling; and </li><li>Grounds work as needed, including the facility and all assets. </li></ul> <p>You may also call or email Crystal James with any questions: crystaljames@delcotransit.com, 740-368-9033, Option 1.</p> <p>DCT is a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
