The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining various tax related functions, assisting the tax team with income tax preparation.</p> <p>Responsibilities will include:</p> <p>Perform general accounting, including but not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare federal, state and local tax returns accurately and timely. </li><li>Prepare federal and state estimates and extensions. </li><li>Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, including temporary and permanent differences. </li><li>Prepare tax payment vouchers, create the wires and save proof of payment reports. </li><li>Prepare IRS legal entity update letters upon notification from the legal department. </li><li>Resolve tax notices. </li><li>Perform tax research and document positions to ensure compliance. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 1-2 years' experience as a Tax Preparer or a similar role.</p> <p>CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in tax research. </li><li>Understanding of tax laws. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft applications. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with integrity. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office 365. </li><li>Knowledge of general ledger computer systems. </li><li>Good communication and analytical skills. </li><li>Ability to interact well with other Associates in various departments. </li><li>Ability to work with moderate supervision. </li></ul> <p>K.
