<p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met. </li></ul> <p>Strategic Talent Acquisition & Partnership</p> <ul> <li>Partner closely with Engineering leadership and HR to understand immediate and long-term staffing needs across all technical functions. </li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering & technical recruitment, advising hiring managers, interpreting market trends, and contributing to long-term workforce planning. </li><li>Collaborate with hiring managers to create or refine job descriptions aligned with required qualifications, experience, and team dynamics. </li><li>Educate and train hiring managers on talent acquisition best practices, interview techniques, and compliance standards. </li></ul> <p>Proactive Sourcing & Pipeline Development</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify and engage top engineering talent, including passive candidates. </li><li>Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, engineering forums, university networks, competitor mapping, and industry-specific platforms. </li><li>Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles in naval architecture, mechanical, structural, marine, and electrical engineering. </li><li>Maintain deep knowledge of engineering functions, certifications, and emerging industry trends. </li></ul> <p>Candidate Engagement & Selection</p> <ul> <li>Screen and evaluate candidates for technical competence, team fit, and long-term potential. </li><li>Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear assessments and recommendations. </li><li>Coordinate and facilitate interviews, including virtual and in-person sessions and yard tours as needed. </li><li>Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through timely, clear, and professional communication. </li><li>Present verbal and written offers and support closing efforts for selected candidates. </li></ul> <p>Branding, Outreach & Events</p> <ul> <li>Represent Hanwha Philly Shipyard at career fairs, industry conferences, and university recruiting events. </li><li>Research and evaluate external recruiting opportunities, plan and coordinate company presence at events. </li><li>Promote the Hanwha Philly Shipyard brand, culture, and values to prospective candidates, acting as a recruitment brand ambassador. </li></ul> <p>Recruitment Operations & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Manage job postings across internal portals, LinkedIn, and relevant technical job boards. </li><li>Track, analyze, and report key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, sourcing channel effectiveness). </li><li>Ensure adherence to all company policies and federal, state, and local employment laws. </li><li>Uphold and promote safety policies and standards in all recruitment and candidate engagement activities. </li><li>Perform additional related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and technical recruiting methodologies. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of sourcing methodologies, Boolean logic, and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and engineering-specific job boards and techniques. </li><li>Relentless pursuit of top-tier talent; thrives in fast-paced environments with a proactive, get-it-done mindset. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. , especially for outreach and employer branding. </li><li>High-energy and proactive approach to problem-solving. </li><li>Sense of urgency, can do attitude with a focus on continuous improvement. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requisitions. </li><li>Skilled in candidate negotiations, offer presentation, and influencing decision-making to close hard-to-win candidates. </li><li>Data-driven mindset with attention to detail. </li><li>Well organized and able to manage multiple priorities. </li><li>Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information. </li><li>Collaborative and team-oriented with ability to work independently. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY</p> <p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required. </li><li>5+ years full cycle recruitment experience with a heavy emphasis on sourcing passive candidates. </li><li>Demonstrated success recruiting for technical or engineering positions. </li><li>Experience working with Microsoft Office suite. </li><li>Proven experience in managing and implementing measurable sourcing strategies. </li><li>Experience creating and implementing processes from inception to completion. </li><li>Technically savvy in managing applicant tracking systems and other HRIS related systems. </li><li>Experience with applicant tracking systems preferred. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke.
