The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of the strategic deterrence.</p> <p>Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile.If this describes you, come join our team as our next Propulsion/Ordnance/Controls Engineer!</p> <p>As a coded leader, you will manage definition, interpretation, and implementation of design requirements, task delegation, coordination and execution of hardware designs, development and integration of hardware custom and procured hardware and systems in accordance with engineering process specifications. Ensure designs adhere to Common Integrated Processes as documented in Command Media, and drive process improvement into the design culture. Provide solution based technical mentoring to improve program performance and to drive error free design using proven tools, processes and predictive measures.</p> <p>Work collaboratively with the program and functional senior leadership to manage staffing requirements and plan job assignments and rotations to sustain engineering capabilities and critical skills; and drive performance management, career development, and personnel related activities. Ensure SSC's standard technical processes and tools, best practices, and training are available and properly implemented on the program.</p> <p>Further, develop layouts, using advanced composites and aerospace metallic materials for flight structures and weldments. Experience in metal machining, welding, and composites are preferred.</p> <p>Travel may be required.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Fundamental understanding of propulsion aerospace hardware systems and processes </li><li>Experience with aerospace flight hardware design, analysis, manufacture. or test and integration </li><li>Experience with requirement development and management </li><li>Previous experience leading a team </li><li>Schedule/planning experience </li><li>Ability to work functional duties with limited budget </li><li>Desire and ability to own technical challenges through solution </li><li>Ability to manage multiple assignments and customers, simultaneously and independently </li><li>US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience Guiding the successful completion of major programs and functioning in a project leadership role. </li><li>Full Spectrum Leadership experience and training </li><li>Cost account management (CAM) experience </li><li>Knowledge of Lockheed Martin Command Media related to system design and analyses. </li><li>Hardware experience, including design, analysis, assembly, Integration and Test. Experience using EPDM Windchill, SAP and design tools. </li><li>Knowledgeable at a systems level in the areas of stress, propulsion, harness routing, strength of materials, subcontracts, electrical design/analysis, software, transportation, and launch operations. </li><li>Experience working with procurement and outside suppliers. </li><li>Experience developing Proposal documents and Basis of Estimates (BOE's) </li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality…) </li><li>Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences. </li></ul> <p>Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.</p> <p>Clearance Level: Top Secret</p> <p>Other Important Information You Should Know</p> <p>Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.</p> <p>Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.</p> <p>Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off</p> <p>Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.</p> <p>Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.</p> <p>(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
