<p>FMCS Support Specialist I (Facilities, Maintenance, and Custodial Services) JobID: 8193</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Facilities</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/1/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Facilities, Maintenance and Custodial Services</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Please see the attached job description for more detailed information.</p> <p>FMCS Support Specialist I</p> <p>8.0 hours/day</p> <p>8:00 a.m. - -4:30 p.m.</p> <p>261 day/year (year-round)</p> <p>8 hours/day, plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch break</p> <p>Competitive benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, IPERS retirement, and more!</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Required: High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent is required. </li><li>Preferred: Associates Degree in computer science or related field. </li><li>Preferred: 3 - 5 years experience in the building maintenance field or related job experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis. </li><li>Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. </li><li>Provides initial assessment, resolution or routing of maintenance problems. </li><li>Provides excellent customer service to staff, students, parents, and the community. </li><li>Uses basic troubleshooting techniques for maintenance related issues. </li><li>Completes documentation of support requests and follows up to ensure problems are resolved. </li><li>Uses remote connectivity software programs to provide remote assistance to users. </li><li>Assists in the routing and scheduling of repair requests district wide. </li><li>Monitors and prioritizes response to support requests. </li><li>Maintains accurate records of inventory district inventory. </li><li>Performs tasks related to district user account management and auditing. </li><li>Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with equipment. </li><li>Coordinates warranty support with various vendors and makes requests for repairs and or parts. </li><li>Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisor </li></ul> <p>THIS POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED, PLEASE APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.</p> <p>Questions?
