The goal of the program is to provide developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that are individualized to meet the needs of each child. The program provides a language-based developmental preschool experience. Each classroom has a maximum enrollment of 15 students: 8 community peers and 7 students with IEPs.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Master's Degree preferred</p> <p>Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8) Required</p> <p>MA Certification as a Preschool Teacher (Early Childhood PreK-2 w/wo disabilities)</p> <p>Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable</p> <p>JOB GOAL/PURPOSE: To ensure that students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or Director of Special Education</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Addresses the needs of diverse learners in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and administers preschool curriculum consistent with MA DESE frameworks, school district goals and objectives as well as student IEPs.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrates findings with other disciplines, provides recommendations and develops Individual Education Programs (IEPs) based on TEAM recommendations.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates with other professional staff members, especially within grade level, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty meetings and committees.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills all case management responsibilities associated with the IEP.</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, analyze, and interpret student data.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises students in activities that take place out of the classroom during the school day, including activities involving school transportation and self-care, including toileting.</p> </li><li> <p>Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.</p> </li><li> <p>Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as a resource to develop effective teaching strategies for all students.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for annual reviews, written progress notes, parent/teacher conferences and proctoring state assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizes technology as needed, including Remind and Google Classroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Uses evidence-based research and continuing education to address MA frameworks and to meet licensure requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee.</p> </li></ol> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <p>ABA experience preferred</p> <p>Safety Care preferred</p> <p>Experience with students with disabilities</p> <p>Public School experience preferred</p> <p>Salary range: $64,004 - $108,744</p> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
