<p>Job Information</p> <p>Set up, adjust and operate lasers and brake presses to produce parts in accordance with instructions.</p> <p>Role & Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to check part quality. </li><li>Maintain parts flow per Kanban guidelines and department work rules. </li><li>Support data collection and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities. </li><li>Responsible for quality of parts and workmanship </li><li>Cross train between operations. </li><li>Follow all necessary Safety procedures and work instructions. </li><li>Assist other team members as required. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of area. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Brake Press Operator duties:</p> <ul> <li>Design and develop programs. </li><li>Set up, check programs and operate automatic numerically controlled machines to perform a complex series of progressive operations to meet precise tolerance and requirements. </li><li>Understand program format. </li><li>Arrange and secure tooling. </li><li>Mount, align and secure holding fixtures. </li><li>Set stops, calibrate fixture to appropriate reference points. </li><li>Manually cycle machine through operation sequence to check fixture and work positions, tooling, clearances, speeds, feeds, etc. </li><li>Adjust machine or console to correct deviations. </li><li>May set up and instruct other machine operators. </li></ul> <p>Laser Operator duties:</p> <ul> <li>Set up, adjust, and operate CNC controlled laser cutting machine to cut pieces from sheet and steel plate stock of various gauges. </li><li>Set up laser cutting machine for cutting conditions and operations and make adjustments as needed. </li><li>Identify parts and inspect cut edge quality. Make adjustments as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirement</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED. </li><li>Team Player, Solid Communication Skills, Good Work Ethic and Basic Computer Skills. </li><li>Safety Conscious. </li><li>Communication: proficient English both written and verbal. </li></ul>
