<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Production Manager will be responsible for the overall activities of the production operations, including workplace safety and food safety.</p> <p>Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all planned KPI's are met or exceeded. </li><li>Track competencies of supervisors, provide leadership and development as required to achieve company objectives. </li><li>Evaluate and interpret daily manufacturing reports to observe trends. </li><li>Understand, analyze and report production budgets, P&L, labor cost and variance to standard. </li><li>Understanding of food processing, food sanitation, food safety, worker safety and cost savings development. </li><li>Ensure continual process improvement. </li><li>Ensure the overall completion of the daily production schedule. </li><li>Support the launching of all new products and process. </li><li>Ensure the manufacturing plant is in compliance with all OSHA, EPA and FDA regulations. </li><li>Establishing and maintaining a standard of performance for the manufacturing group. </li><li>Strong understanding of food processing, food sanitation, food safety, worker safety, cost development or equivalent. </li><li>Support new product initiatives through allocating adequate manufacturing resources to implement and support new products. </li><li>Support and direct all production activities associated with R&D. </li><li>Ensure all operational supervisors are engaged and sustaining the company strategy. </li><li>Develop, empower, and engage entire workforce and implement a winning culture. </li><li>Communicate wins and effectively inform workforce of opportunities. </li><li>Engage with network peers to identify, create, and promote improvements in service and cost efficiency as a team. </li><li>Active member of the MRP group - Plan manufacturing production to achieve 100% order fill </li><li>Work with accident reporting and follow the process and procedures for safety report </li><li>Conduct corrective action follow up and evaluate corrective action effectiveness </li></ul> <p>Food Safety Role & Responsibility:</p> <p>As an employee, the incumbent must understand the Food Safety Statement, complete the required training, perform work assignments in accordance with training and display an acceptable level of competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and training requirements. Areas of food safety training will include, but are not limited to, GMP, HACCP, facility security, visitor policy and mandatory safety training.</p> <p>Required Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Food Manufacturing equivalent. </li><li>Proficiency in MS office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). </li><li>Ability to take complex assignments and interpret into working action items. </li><li>Proven leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to communicate throughout the organization in written and verbal form. </li><li>Strong technical understanding of manufacturing process flow. </li><li>5+ years of progressive manufacturing and management experience </li><li>3+ years in a food manufacturing environment. </li></ul> <p>Other Desired Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Formal process improvement, leadership, and execution with demonstration of success. </li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with FSSC 22000 </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed, as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
