<p>Subject: Business Technology Instructor Chapter 74</p> <p>Reports To: Building Principal</p> <p>The position of Business Technology Instructor is available at North High School. This is a Chapter 74 position.</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:</p> <p>This individual is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in the Business Technology Chapter 74 Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) state frameworks and curriculum disciplines.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)</p> <ol> <li>Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies. </li><li>Responsible for the integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate. </li><li>Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness. </li><li>Performance of other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ol> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Massachusetts DESE licensure (Chapter 74) in Business Technology 9-14 </li><li>SEI Endorsement. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of vocational/technical teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques. </li><li>Bachelors degree or higher in/or related to the field of Business Technology. </li><li>Three years of full-time working experience in Business Technology. </li><li>Evidence of Business Technology Industry experience to include business management, accounting/financial principles, database administration, social media/Website design, and customer service skills. </li></ol> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Advanced educational preparation. </li><li>Evidence of educational leadership. </li><li>OSHA Trainer </li><li>Knowledge of Store Management. </li><li>Competent in computer applications </li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs. </li><li>Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language. </li></ol> <p>WORK YEAR: 185 days</p> <p>SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree.
