<p>Hybrid Work Model</p> <p>#LI-hybrid</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Associate Manager, Location-Based Experiences (LBE) will play a key supporting role in the strategic development, execution, and operational management of SEGA's LBE initiatives. Working directly under the Sr. Director, this individual will assist with ongoing projects, coordinating with partners, and contributing to the evolution of immersive fan experiences based on SEGA's beloved brands - especially Sonic the Hedgehog across the Americas and in Europe. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, strategic thinker with strong project management and communication skills, looking to grow in the world of branded entertainment and experiences.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Business Development Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist in researching new licensing and partnership opportunities for Sonic and other SEGA IP in the LBE space (e.g., attractions, exhibits, theme parks, shows) and help move legal agreements through the approval process. </li><li>Help develop pitch presentations and materials that communicate SEGA's brand value and LBE vision. </li><li>Conduct competitive and market research to identify industry trends and potential collaborators. </li><li>Attend global workshops, seminars, and conferences as requested (e.g. IAAPA, Licensing Expo), followed by a brief written report. </li><li>Liaise with the SEGA's global teams to ensure strategic alignment and consistency for SEGA's global LBE initiatives. </li><li>Maintain partner databases and track business development outreach. </li></ul> <p>Project Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Support the Sr. Director in managing day-to-day project logistics, timelines, and documentation. </li><li>Coordinate internal and external meetings, take notes, and track follow-ups. </li><li>Review and route project submissions for internal approvals across key stakeholders. </li><li>Curate and organize brand assets for partners, ensuring legal clearance for all shared materials. </li><li>Schedule and coordinate immersive brand introduction sessions for partners ("brand immersions"). </li><li>Work closely with SEGA's legal team to draft and manage NDAs and other legal documents as required. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Lore and Strategy, Brand, Partnerships, Marketing, Lifestyle, Product Development, Gaming) to ensure brand consistency and alignment throughout projects. </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on LBE projects. </li><li>Help facilitate global coordination across SEGA teams in Japan, Europe, and Latin America, including occasional after-hours meetings with overseas partners. </li></ul> <p>Strategic Analysis & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Support the preparation of performance reports, feasibility analysis, and market projections for proposed or active LBE projects. </li><li>Track KPIs and benchmarks for partner projects to help assess performance and inform future strategy. </li></ul> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> <p>Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork. In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:</p> <ul> <li></li><li>For effective supervision of employees and our work product, which includes ensuring all employees have necessary oversight of their work and access to supervisory assistance, which includes meetings to review work product, deadlines, and status. </li><li>To foster communication and collaboration among team members, which includes the following: allowing for spontaneous brainstorming sessions and exchanges of ideas, quick access to team members to enable collaborative problem-solving, and stronger cohesion among co-workers and within teams. </li><li>To enhance the sharing of information necessary to effective job performance and product creation. </li><li>To enhance understanding of our stakeholders' work and business needs, facilitate a more seamless and organic workflow, and ultimately increase efficiency and successful outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business, themed entertainment, hospitality, or related field. </li><li>2-3 years project management experience in location-based experiences, licensing, or related fields. </li><li>Familiarity with Sonic the Hedgehog and/or gaming/entertainment IP is a plus. </li><li>Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Experience with presentation development (PowerPoint, Keynote) and tracking tools (Excel, Smartsheet, etc.). </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. </li><li>Creative thinker with the ability to translate ideas into practical reality. </li><li>Understanding of branded content, entertainment IP, or fan engagement strategies. </li><li>Knowledge of industry trends and a genuine interest in emerging technologies in entertainment and location-based experiences. </li><li>Shows genuine interest by currently visiting immersive experiences, theme parks and attractions, museums, live shows and exhibitions. </li><li>Willingness to attend industry workshops, seminars, and conferences as requested (e.g. IAAPA, Entertainment Experience Evolution, Licensing Expo). </li><li>Willing to conduct meetings with Europe and Japan at off hours. </li><li>Willingness to travel as required for project meetings and site evaluations. </li><li>Must be flexible and responsive to changing priorities and deadlines. </li></ul>
