<p>DEPARTMENT: Fabrication</p> <p>JOB TITLE: 1st shift Tool & Die Maker</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Fabrication Manager</p> <p>SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 8 hr. shifts (Mon-Fri) 7:00 am- 3:00 pm) Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.</p> <p>STARTING PAY: $19.69 to $31.19 per hour.</p> <p>What You Will Be Responsible For:</p> <ul> <li>Manufacture details to print, supporting engineering projects. </li><li>Ability to program CNC equipment, and safely operate standard Tool Room equipment. </li><li>Mark up drawings for "as built" conditions for Engineering updates. </li><li>Manage new tooling projects through Tool Room to project deadlines. </li><li>Support Communications between Engineering and Production </li><li>Assist Engineering, Production, and Set-up personnel with tooling set-ups and new tooling process verification. </li><li>Work with Engineering and Maintenance for Hydraulic and Pneumatic requirements. </li><li>Construction, Assembly, and Repair of fixtures, dies and jaws. </li><li>Die maintenance as required (repair, sharpening & cleaning) & record repairs. </li><li>Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required. </li><li>Consistently keep Tool Room clean, organized, and hazard free </li></ul> <p>Work Environment / Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. </li><li>The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. </li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. </li><li>The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning. </li></ul> <p>What You Will Need:</p> <ul> <li>Prefer Journeyman Tool & Die maker or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years of tool room experience) </li><li>Must be able to understand decimals, fractions, and tolerances. </li><li>Able to read and understand inspection tools.
