Introduction / Background</p> <p>The RTX Additive Manufacturing Process and Capability Center (AMPCC), centrally hosted at Raytheon</p> <p>Technologies Research Center (RTRC), encompasses a critical mass of Additive Manufacturing (AM) process and</p> <p>industrialization experts, the necessary equipment, and develops the strategic collaborations needed to rapidly mature</p> <p>the technology and manufacturing readiness of the critical technologies that are required to accelerate the</p> <p>development, transition, and deployment of additive manufactured products and systems for RTX's business units.</p> <p>B. Objectives</p> <p>The AMPCC is working with various customers to develop Additive Manufacturing processes and tools. There is a</p> <p>need to coordinate multiple tasks and ensure deliverables are met on time.</p> <p>C. Scope of Work</p> <p>Engineer will manage multiple projects and hardware at the RTX AMPCC. Tasks will include maintaining</p> <p>prototyping schedules, coordinating with requesters and suppliers, managing material transfers and shipping,</p> <p>managing post processing, heat treatment and machining of prototypes. Engineer will utilize and develop tools,</p> <p>processes and standard work to improve the AM build process and may utilize various in-house and commercial</p> <p>software packages. Process parameters and build steps will be documented and data reviewed to identify future</p> <p>process improvements. Reports will be issued to customers as required.</p> <p>Tasks will also include management of fabrication projects supporting Business Unit (BU) deliverables. This will</p> <p>require coordination of resources including development of project management plans, schedules, resource and</p> <p>budget requirements. Regular coordination meetings will be led and reporting will be provided by this position. Any</p> <p>tasks not listed but related to the management of the projects will also be provided by this resource.</p> <p>D. Tasks</p> <p>Task 1: Project Management</p> <p>Engineer shall develop and maintain prototype fabrication schedules including machine usage and post processing.</p> <p>Task 2: Data Analysis</p> <p>Engineer shall analyze data from builds to ensure compliance with requirements. This includes supporting any</p> <p>resulting root cause investigations or continuous improvement initiatives.</p> <p>Task 3: Reporting</p> <p>Engineer shall issue reports to customers on status of builds as required.</p> <p>Task 4: Tool Development</p> <p>Engineer shall evaluate, develop or enhance tools to track jobs and parts</p> <p>Task 5: Hardware logistics</p> <p>Engineer will perform packaging, manage shipping and tracking of hardware among various internal departments and</p> <p>external vendors. This may include setup of equipment and transition of hardware between process steps.</p> <p>E.
