<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Data Analyst in New York, NY.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Business Data Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed technical specifications </li><li>Conduct analysis of business requirements and processes for data centric projects </li><li>Responsible for gathering and writing data requirements </li><li>Translate business requirements into data-mapping specifications </li><li>Develop a thorough understanding of the data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, sources, and data integration used in the business domain </li><li>Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution </li><li>Work with Data Engineers who will implement technical solutions to meet business requirements </li><li>Support developers with data subject expertise </li><li>Support phases of project development, from analysis and design to testing and implementation </li><li>As a Business Data Analyst, you will ensure that technology solutions meet the defined requirements </li><li>Understanding of data quality and data governance </li><li>Provide ongoing support and training to business users on the new or revised systems* At least 7 years of financial industry technology experience and knowledge of financial services data </li><li>Experience with SDLC </li><li>Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling </li><li>Strong SQL query skills </li><li>Strong analytical, profiling and troubleshooting skills </li><li>Strong knowledge with Big Data/Hadoop platform </li><li>Strong business analysis and requirements definition skills </li><li>Strong stakeholder presentation skills </li><li>Solid organization and planning skills </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills </li></ul>
