We provide our clients with the services they need from in force transactions and product development to underwriting and new business strategies.</p> <p>Wilton Re has the resources and expertise to pursue and successfully manage the largest life and annuity transactions in the market.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The?Senior Business Analyst?plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and process automation initiatives across the organization. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of life reinsurance operations, and the ability to lead large, complex projects from concept through execution. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 8 years of business analysis experience, including hands-on data management, business process automation, and project leadership.</p> <p>Role Responsibilities:</p> <p>Business Analysis & Process Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end analysis of business processes across functions such as underwriting, claims, finance, and reporting. </li><li>Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy and timeliness. </li><li>Document and communicate business requirements, process maps, and functional specifications. </li><li>Develop and maintain process documentation, user stories, and use cases for system enhancements and automation efforts. </li><li>Partner with business users to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and design dashboards or reporting tools to track performance. </li></ul> <p>Data Management & Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Manage large, complex datasets to support operational insights, financial reporting, and actuarial analysis. </li><li>Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems, working closely with IT, actuarial, and finance teams. </li><li>Develop and execute data validation, transformation, and reconciliation processes. </li><li>Utilize tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Python/R for advanced data analysis and visualization. </li><li>Contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>Business Process Automation</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement automation solutions to eliminate manual, repetitive processes using technologies such as RPA, workflow automation, or low-code platforms. </li><li>Collaborate with technology teams to design and deploy automated solutions aligned with business needs. </li><li>Develop business cases for automation initiatives and measure ROI post-implementation. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of automation into existing systems. </li></ul> <p>Project Management & Delivery</p> <ul> <li>Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. </li><li>Create project plans, timelines, and resource requirements, tracking progress and managing risks. </li><li>Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communication. </li><li>Support change management and end-user training to drive adoption of new processes or tools. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder Management & Communication</p> <ul> <li>Build strong partnerships with business leaders across underwriting, finance, actuarial, and operations. </li><li>Translate complex data and technical information into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences. </li><li>Present analysis findings, recommendations, and project updates to senior management and executive stakeholders. </li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across teams. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum of?8 years of business analysis experience, ideally within?life insurance or reinsurance?industries. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with?data management, data analysis, and business process improvement. </li><li>Proven track record managing?large-scale projects and cross-functional initiatives. </li><li>Proficiency in?SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools. </li><li>Experience with?process automation tools?(e.g., UiPath, Alteryx, Power Automate, or similar). </li><li>Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Required Education / Certifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in data & Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Actuarial Studies, or related field, OR equivalent practical experience.</p> <p>Pay/Location</p> <p>Norwalk, CT</p> <p>Hybrid Structure</p> <p>Minimal to no travel required</p> <p>Base salary for this position in Connecticut is between $130,000 and $175,000 Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon a variety of job-related factors as permitted by law, including geographic location, credentials, skills, education, training, and experience.</p> <p>Base salary is just one component of Wilton Re's total compensation package for employees. Additional compensation includes annual performance-based bonus, 401K with employer contribution, and profit-sharing program. Employee may also be eligible for long-term incentives.
