<p>Senior Accountant</p> <p>Position Title: Senior Accountant</p> <p>Department: Finance</p> <p>Reports To: Accounting Manager</p> <p>Location: Nashville (hybrid, 2-3 days in office per week) or remote</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-time</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely financial reporting, and compliance with healthcare industry regulations. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to assist with month-end close, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll, while contributing to the overall integrity of the company's financial operations.</p> <p>This position represents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing business with a deep focus on continuous operational improvement. The lean team structure will provide this individual with broad exposure across accounting functions and flexibility to develop their skill set within a dynamic healthcare environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable processing, cash management, and payroll support. </li><li>Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. </li><li>Support the maintenance of internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and healthcare industry compliance standards. </li><li>Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis aligned with the Company's growth objectives. </li><li>Partner with accounting team members to share knowledge, support cross-training, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. </li><li>Assist in coordinating external financial audits and regulatory compliance reviews, providing documentation, and supporting schedules as needed. </li><li>Prepare and analyze financial reports and schedules to support management decision-making and provide accurate data to the Accounting Manager and leadership team. </li><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and processes, contributing to greater efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. </li><li>Support communication and coordination with external partners, including auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions, as directed by the Accounting Manager. </li><li>Stay informed about healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting best practices to support compliance and continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). </li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and cash management; exposure to payroll processing is a plus. </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, healthcare financial regulations, and compliance requirements. </li><li>Experience in the healthcare industry, with an understanding of revenue cycle management, reimbursements, and third-party payers (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers). </li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Quick Books) and advanced Excel skills. </li><li>Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial insights to executive leadership. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment and Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive healthcare benefits package and 401k. </li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development. </li><li>Hybrid work flexibility. </li></ul>
