As a member of our team you'll enjoy excellent benefits, opportunities for growth, and an encouraging culture that supports work / life balance.</p> <p>Position Summary: This position will aid in the design of on trend, affordable housing in an exciting, fast-paced, team-oriented environment by working with architects, engineers, vendors, and home-building facilities nationwide.</p> <p>Duties / Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with other designers to support home building facilities nationwide. </li><li>Assist other designers in working with architects and engineers during the initial design phase to create, renovate, or modify spaces to meet design standards and building codes. </li><li>Enhance the function, safety, and aesthetics of interior spaces. </li><li>Assist in working with vendors to select samples; including flooring, carpet, paint, cabinetry, etc. </li><li>Choose color palettes. </li><li>Plan architectural details such as crown molding and built-in bookshelves. </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints. </li><li>Home staging and other interior staging projects. </li><li>Assist in planning and estimating budgets for projects. </li><li>Draw up floor plans and sketches. </li><li>Prepare working drawings, designs, and plans often, but not always, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software. </li><li>Stay up to date on current trends in the design industry. </li><li>Other responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>0-2 years Interior Design experience. </li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels within the organization. </li><li>Ability to build relationships with vendors and clients. </li><li>Strong presentation skills required. </li><li>Working knowledge of architecture, construction, and design industries. </li><li>An awareness of building and safety regulations. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Creative problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team of other professionals. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc. </li><li>Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
