This family-owned business has been around for 60 years with over 75 stores and is continuing to grow.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking a friendly and reliable Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers with purchases, operate the cash register, restock merchandise, and maintain a clean and safe store environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner </li><li>Accurately process transactions using the cash register and handle payments </li><li>Stock shelves and coolers with merchandise </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the store, including the sales floor, restrooms, and fuel pumps </li><li>Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers as needed </li><li>Follow safety and security procedures, including age verification for restricted products </li><li>Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally </li></ul> <p>Skills & Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with electronic equipment, including cash registers and other POS systems. </li><li>Basic math skills and proficiency in using computers. </li><li>Effective communication skills and a strong customer focus. </li><li>Ability to collaborate with the team to manage workload and pace effectively. </li><li>Willingness to learn about store processes, products, and services. </li><li>Ability to remain composed in confrontational situations. </li><li>Capability to work in a high-volume, sometimes high-pressure environment. </li><li>Flexibility to work a schedule that includes Sunday through Saturday. Availability to open and close the store as needed. </li><li>Must be able to work in cold environments, such as outdoor cold weather and indoor coolers. </li><li>Must also be able to work in heat during the summer months to perform outdoor duties. </li></ul>
