<p>Qualified candidates for this position will be expected to perform the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Perform mechanical support associated with transmission testing: </li><li>Transmission Build Experience. (Machining, following build books, fuji paper, measurement data) </li><li>Standard transmission maintenances (fluid/filter change) </li><li>Part changes (torque converter, valve body, etc). </li><li>Light fabrication (MIG & TIG welding, machining, cutting, etc). </li><li>Transmission teardown (torques, data collection, reviewing build books) </li><li>Interact on a day-to-day basis with powertrain development engineers to perform work on a test article. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 1 year of general mechanic knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Possess overall good fabrication skills having a high mechanical aptitude and deductive reasoning.</p> </li><li> <p>Possess skills for MIG & TIG welding on metals including stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, and aluminum.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work in a team-based environment</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge of operating a computer (Microsoft office and teams)</p> </li><li> <p>Possession of a mechanics toolbox and hand tool set</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2 years + trans builder experience </li><li>Certifications </li><li>Hybrid/High Voltage experience </li><li>Knowledge of VHSG and TDCI software </li></ul>
