<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.</p> <p>VA Careers - Psychologist: https://youtube.com/embed/77qHlLw9Xck</p> <p>Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>The Psychologist Oversees the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the SUD-RRTP. </li><li>The SUD-RRTP provides specialized SUD treatment for veterans with substance use disorders, in a residential setting. </li><li>The Psychologist reports administratively and clinically to the Section Chief of SUD Services at the VA NJ Healthcare System and in addition may report programmatically to the ACOS for Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences for the program to which s/he is assigned. </li><li>The Psychologist complies with all regulations of the Veterans Health Administration and ensures that Clinical documentation complies with VANJ policies and current standards of practice for psychologists. In collaboration with the Section Chief for SUD Programs, the Incumbent ensures that the SUD-RRTP is in compliance with VACO requirements, as well as requirements of accrediting bodies. </li><li>The Psychologist Coordinates Day-today program operations. </li><li>The Psychologist provides both individual and group psychotherapy, incorporating Evidence-Based Therapies when clinically appropriate. </li><li>The Psychologist participates in screening appointments of veterans applying to enter the SUD-RRTP and coordinates determination of veteran eligibility for admission to the program. </li><li>The Psychologist completes or ensures completion of psycho-social assessments within the first week of admission and identifies problem areas and veteran goals for treatment. </li><li>The Psychologist is responsible for developing an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the Veteran that reflects a course of therapeutic intervention to address the needs identified in the assessment. </li><li>The Psychologist is experienced in assessing whether a client is in danger of harm to self or others and will utilize the emergency services available at VA NJ Healthcare System when appropriate. </li><li>The Psychologist may also be assigned other administrative duties relating to requirements of Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (MH-RRTPs). </li><li>The Psychologist may be required to work other than normal duty hours to include evening or weekend hours. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm</p> <p>EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive. Learn more</p> <p>Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases</p> <p>Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)</p> <p>Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.</p> <p>Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.</p> <p>Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.</p> <p>Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA</p> <p>Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)</p> <p>Virtual: This is not a virtual position.</p> <p>Functional Statement #: 12603 - F</p>
