<p>Summary:</p> <p>Rogers Corporation is seeking an Intern to support day-to-day operations/engineering improvements and projects.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Learn the site's manufacturing processes. Document current-state manufacturing, shipping, and warehouse processes through direct observation and collaboration with operations staff. Assist in troubleshooting efforts. </li><li>Develop, update, and standardize work instructions and process documentation to ensure work instructions are clear and accurate. </li><li>Contribute to process optimization, cost saving, and streamlining initiatives. Lead one short term project. </li><li>Contribute to safety related projects and investigations </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A student who has completed their sophomore year toward a BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. </li><li>Due to ITAR regulations must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. </li><li>Manufacturing experience is a plus. </li><li>Completion of junior year toward a BS degree is preferred. </li></ul>
