The competition operations</p> <p>work center is primarily focused on white label & client services oriented projects based</p> <p>in North America and Europe, working alongside some of the largest publishers in the</p> <p>space to ensure their vision is brought to life and their players are provided pristine</p> <p>service and amazing experiences.</p> <p>As a Tournament Manager you are on the ground floor working with clients and internal</p> <p>stakeholders to facilitate the timely and quality execution of competition deliverables</p> <p>and ensuring our live tournaments and online competitions are operated to the highest</p> <p>standard. In this entry level position we are looking for a self sufficient, organized, and</p> <p>fast adapting tournament operator who performs well under pressure and is passionate</p> <p>about the tournament and player experience.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>? Serve as a point of contact for clients, potential clients, independent contractors,</p> <p>and internal teammates on all aspects of the tournament and player experience</p> <p>? Communicate project information to internal and external stakeholders across</p> <p>broadcast, production, and other verticals across various timezones</p> <p>? Create dynamic and logically structured flowcharts, docs, spreadsheets, and</p> <p>presentations to map out competition workflows, systems, reports, tests, and</p> <p>discoveries</p> <p>? Be able to serve as or train to become a subject matter expert for the function</p> <p>and gameplay of assigned games and IPs</p> <p>? Communicate with players, organizations and clients in a professional manner as</p> <p>a representative of the EFG competition team</p> <p>? Carefully craft rulesets, tournament formats, informational briefs, and general</p> <p>competition related deliverables for players and programs</p> <p>? Be able to work weekends and travel internationally or domestically to operate</p> <p>our suite of live and online esports competitions</p> <p>? Recruit, train, and manage project based admins and referees, ensuring our</p> <p>projects are sufficiently staffed with skilled competition personnel</p> <p>? Work closely with tech and production teams to ensure that all competition</p> <p>hardware and software are optimally configured and game-ready</p> <p>? Serve as a point of contact for players and teams facilitating clear and timely</p> <p>communication regarding schedules, rules, and any changes or updates</p> <p>? Executionally operate as an admin, lead admin, or referee on shows as</p> <p>needed/assigned</p> <p>ROLE REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>? Experience working with or as a tournament operator or related esports oriented</p> <p>projects (~1-3 years)</p> <p>? Previous experience that demonstrates a keen understanding of tournament</p> <p>operations, player relations, and the live event environment</p> <p>? Excellent communication and personal organization skills</p> <p>? A diplomatic approach to issue identification and resolution as it relates to player</p> <p>and client communications</p> <p>? Ability to adapt in fast-moving environments and perform with accuracy under pressure</p> <p>? High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy</p> <p>? Must be able to stand for 8 hours, must be able to lift 30 lbs</p> <p>? Must be able to travel domestically and internationally</p> <p>DESIREABLE SKILLS</p> <p>? Multilingual capabilities, particularly Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, French,</p> <p>Portuguese, and/or Japanese</p> <p>? Proficiency in google sheets, sheet automation, and/or discord tooling and</p> <p>integration</p> <p>? Previous involvement in developing esports and grassroots communities</p> <p>?
