<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <p>St. Croix Health is looking for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Manager - Diagnostic Imaging to join our team! This position's primary location is at our St. Croix Falls, WI location.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Manager - Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for managing the operation of the diagnostic imaging department to maximize patient safety, customer satisfaction, and intra and inter-departmental workflows as well as manages employee relations, oversees recruitment and onboarding activities, and assists with performance assessments and competencies. Assures compliance with all Policy, Procedure, and regulatory standards. Manages financial resources and budgeting. Oversees department projects, staff recruitment, policy implementation and serves as a primary resource for Diagnostic Imaging.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Operational Accountability </li></ol> <ul> <li>Manages the day-to-day programs, systems, operations, and resources of Diagnostic Imaging to assure accurate and appropriate delivery of best-practice procedures and patient care, and compliance with regulatory requirements. </li><li>Provides input, suggests modifications, and implements policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards; evaluates and monitors compliance on a routine basis. </li><li>Collaborates with Senior Director of Support Services and other leadership to ensure the necessary resources are in place to execute the work of the department. </li><li>Evaluates and monitors effectiveness patient care and promotes continuous quality improvement. </li><li>Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Staff Management and Development </li></ol> <ul> <li>Plans, directs, and guides work of direct reports. </li><li>Manages and monitors department schedules, ensures adequate staffing levels and coverage based on acuity and need. </li><li>Ensures staff are appropriately trained and competent in performance of assigned duties; assesses competencies of staff on regular basis in accordance with established standards and practices. </li><li>Coaches, mentors, and develops staff to promote skill development. </li><li>Manage hiring initiatives; generate requisitions, coordinate interview team, conduct interviews, select staff to fill open positions, establish training plan, assist with orientation and onboarding activities. </li><li>Monitors and evaluates staff performance and accountability; perform rounding and annual evaluations with assigned staff on routine basis; assist with resolving concerns or performance barriers to ensure staff are set up for success. </li><li>Track and complete staff competency assessments. </li><li>Partner with Human Resources to manage leave of absence process for direct reports. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Performance and Quality Improvement </li></ol> <ul> <li>Collects and reviews appropriate data to assist in the assessment of programs, procedures, and quality initiatives. </li><li>Assists team with advanced procedures and concepts. </li><li>Identify and implement process improvement efforts both within functional oversight areas and spanning multiple departments. </li><li>Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Department Budget and Fiscal Scope </li></ol> <ul> <li>Reviews requests for new supplies and equipment; orders and maintains necessary supplies, tools, and equipment through requisition process. </li><li>Identifies and escalates capital equipment needs. </li><li>Educates staff and physicians on cost containment and conversation of supplies and equipment </li><li>Monitors supply usage and special/one-time requests. Works with departmental leadership and vendors on pricing. </li><li>Identifies, communicates and initiates cost reduction ideas. </li><li>Assists in the development and monitoring of operational and capital budgets. </li></ul> <ol start="5"> <li>Regulatory Compliance </li></ol> <ul> <li>Ensures all functional areas are in full compliance with internal and external legal and regulatory standards; regularly assesses and monitors to ensure effective controls are in place and desired outcomes are achieved. </li><li>Ensures compliance with all record management and retention policies, provisions, and practices. </li></ul> <ol start="6"> <li>Strategic Planning and Execution </li></ol> <ul> <li>Assists in the development and deployment of plans and programming to assist in attainment of organizational strategic initiatives. </li></ul> <ol start="7"> <li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ol> <ul> <li>Implement and evaluate standards of imaging practice and other internal/external regulatory requirements. </li><li>Ensure readiness for CMS survey. </li><li>Assist leadership with various projects and initiatives as needed. </li><li>While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties from particular jobs and to assign other duties as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education & Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>Registered by American Resgistry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T.ARRT) </li><li>Current Wisconsin Radiographer license </li><li>Current BLS card issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross for health care providers </li><li>Additional certifications preferred </li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years' (or equivalent) experience as a Radiologic Technologist </li><li>Minimum 3 years of management experience in similar capacity or demonstrated leadership capabilities </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and listening skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and manage multiple demands and priorities </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills; role model in customer service skills </li><li>Excellent critical thinking, reasoning and analytical skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively train others; develop and implement training plans </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee Diagnostic Imaging staff including scheduling, timecard review, identifying developmental & training needs, navigating performance concerns and other relevant employee relations functions. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer </li><li>Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times </li></ul>
