We focus on excellence, offering premier value to our customers.</p> <p>Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager. In this role, you will drive sustainable continuous improvements for the Newton location, delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and cost; while building cultural change throughout the organization. The CI Manager works closely with each plant's leadership and department employees to achieve results. This position requires strong technical lean manufacturing and hands-on leadership skills, along with a passion for operations excellence to be successful.</p> <p>Location: Newton, IA</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Continuous improvement strategies that directly tie in with the site's KPIs (measurable results and sustainment will be tied in with performance reviews) </li><li>Lead and facilitate data-driven Kaizen events to identify constraints and drive sustainable improvements and work closely with plant personnel </li><li>Lead and facilitate events to identify and systematically reduce all forms of waste. </li><li>Develop and execute improvement action plans with specific owners and completion dates </li><li>Develop a Lean Culture within the facility engaging individuals from the shop floor up </li><li>Facilitate tracking measures to support key KPI initiatives?such as increasing efficiency, throughput/capacity, and reducing shop cost per unit rates </li><li>Develop business case justification for projects and initiatives </li><li>Create best practices to leverage resources across all facilities better </li><li>Provide and teach CI tools to team members </li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of capital projects, including equipment feasibility studies, working with key stakeholders </li><li>Guide staffing, training, employee relations, and performance management to develop and enhance the Operations function, working closely with direct reports </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university (Engineering, Math, Science, Business, or Operations preferred) </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years in a manufacturing environment with at least two (2) years in a people management capacity </li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of Continuous Improvement experience required </li><li>Extensive technical skills and hands-on experience in continuous improvement manufacturing activities </li><li>Self-starter who can easily engage other individuals across all jobs and responsibilities within the plant and organization </li><li>Strong application knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and related Continuous Improvement tools </li><li>Knowledge of Lean Daily Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S, Kanban, 8 wastes, and TPM. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds. </li><li>This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays </li></ul> <p>Safety Activities:</p> <ul> <li>Be aware of and observe all safety practices. </li><li>Know and follow all safety rules and procedures. </li><li>Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned. </li></ul> <p>As an important member of the team, you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Activating the potential of our people, </li><li>Caring for our customers, </li><li>Optimizing operations and </li><li>Integrating sustainability into our daily practices as well as our long-term strategy and promote a results-driven culture that is aligned with long term value creation. </li></ul> <p>Safety Sensitive: Yes</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Health & Pharmacy Plans </li><li>Dental & Vision Plans </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>11 paid holidays </li><li>Critical Illness Insurance </li><li>Flexible Spending Accounts </li><li>Company Paid Life & AD&D Insurance </li><li>Voluntary Life & AD&D Insurance </li><li>401(k) W/Company Match </li><li>Short-Term Disability Insurance </li><li>Voluntary Long-Term Disability Insurance </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li></ul>
