<p>Job Title Manager, Application Administration - Information Technology Location Hybrid - Dayton, OH Job Number 05293 Department IT Applications Job Category Professional Job Type Full-Time Status Regular Job Open Date 08/13/2025 Resume Review Date 09/08/2025 Closing Date 09/08/2025 Open Until Filled No Position Summary</p> <p>The Manager of Application Administration is responsible for software design, development, maintenance, and overall architecture of the institutional business systems. This position creates the vision and defines the direction required to ensure administrative systems continue to meet the growing needs of the College. This position description does not represent in any way a contract of employment. </li></ul> <p>Principal Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Create vision and define direction for the strategic approach to business systems in order to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for research and development of new technologies that will support the College's strategic initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Manage Information Technology projects that have campus-wide impact including all aspects of the project management lifecycle</p> </li><li> <p>Establish test and implementation plans in accordance with established standards and coordinates all phases of testing from unit testing to end-user acceptance testing</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze test results setting direction if errors are detected</p> </li><li> <p>Design and implement automated testing</p> </li><li> <p>Revise or direct the revision of existing applications or programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure systems are in place for the documentation of applications or programs and subsequent revisions</p> </li><li> <p>Develop policy for applications or programing standards, data integrity, user reports and software revisions</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare comprehensive project plans, budget, and project status reports for management</p> </li><li> <p>Assign, coordinate, and review work of Application Administration department personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred </li><li>Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in a relevant field required </li><li>Ability to scope requirements for new projects using formal methodologies required </li><li>Experience with small, medium, and large projects, and the ability to deliver the project on-time required </li><li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions required </li><li>Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables required </li><li>Knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Design software; Development software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Payroll systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software required </li><li>Familiarity with business analysis, systems administration practices, network layout and protocols, security and firewalls, Internet protocols, object oriented programming methodologies, database design practices, and systems integration concepts required </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills required </li><li>Strong organizational skills required </li><li>Ability to identify process improvement suggestions, looks for ways to improve and promote quality required </li><li>Exhibit sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions required </li><li>Display strong integrity and ethical standards; upholds organizational values and goals required </li><li>Seek ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness required </li></ul>
