<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Coordinator of the Practical Nursing Program reports to and collaborates with the Chair of the Division of Nursing and as such represents the Practical Nursing Program in the College and the community, coordinates the achievement of program outcomes, provides leadership for the daily operation of the program and works with the Nursing Division Chair to develop, administer, and implement program policies, resources, budget, faculty, and staff.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Practical Nursing Program Responsibilities</p> <p>Provide professional leadership</p> <p>Manage the Practical Nursing Program at the Fulton campus</p> <p>Coordinate student-program communication</p> <p>Implement ongoing assessment of student learning outcomes and program outcomes</p> <p>Coordinate program's use of technology and facilities</p> <p>Prepare and administer the program budget</p> <p>College-Wide Responsibilities</p> <p>Adhere to the Program Director responsibilities</p> <p>Participate in activities to support the Institutional Strategic Plan</p> <p>Maintain liaison with admissions and counseling departments</p> <p>Collaborate with grant writer when appropriate for funding opportunities</p> <p>Community Responsibilities</p> <p>Assist with coordinator the Nursing Department's Advisory Committee meeting annually</p> <p>Network with affiliating agencies</p> <p>Coordinate employer references for graduates</p> <p>Professional Responsibilities</p> <p>Participate in state-wide Practical Nursing organizations</p> <p>Attend national conferences</p> <p>Serve as a role model to faculty and students</p> <p>Develop collegial working relationships with students, faculty colleagues and clinical agency personnel</p> <p>Teaching Responsibilities: The Practical Nursing Program Coordinator will teach a maximum of 9 credits per semester.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Current, unencumbered New York State RN license</p> <p>Master's degree in nursing</p> <p>Clinical Experience</p> <p>Teaching Experience</p> <p>Leadership experience</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>To be considered for this position, please submit resume, cover letter, transcripts and evidence of current nursing licensure at the time of application.</p> <p>A professional reference check will be required prior to a formal offer of employment. Finalists will be notified and references will be requested at that time in the process through a separate online platform. Cayuga Community College requires three professional references, at least one of which must be a current or former supervisor.</p> <p>Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Salary will commensurate with credentials and relevant experience unless an exact amount is listed.</p> <p>Offers are contingent upon the completion of a background check.</p> <p>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
