Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using basic statistics. May perform literature searches under direction of supervisor.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ol> <li> <p>Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine experiments following established methodologies. These may include genotyping using PCR and/or gel electrophoresis, Western blots, RT-PCR, and immunofluorescence.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and maintains tissue cultures.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with zebrafish colony management, breeding, and embryo injections.</p> </li><li> <p>Record data, summarize, and analyze results using basic statistics.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares laboratory reagents, chemicals, instruments, and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains supplies inventory in accordance with departmental procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Discusses progress of work regularly with supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties, as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>• B.S. in a biological or chemical science required. </li><li>New graduate with relevant course or project work. </li><li>Good organizational skills, detail oriented. </li><li>Sound degree of computer literacy. </li><li>Ability to methodically record data and to analyze data using basic statistics. </li><li>Ability to perform a variety of routine tests and prioritize work. </li><li>Good interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate professionalism. </li></ul> <p>Additional skills:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent organization skills, detail oriented </li><li>Interested in working with mice </li><li>Ability to methodically record data and analyze using basic statistics </li><li>Ability to multi-task and establish daily priorities </li><li>Passion for science </li></ul> <p>Remote Type</p> <p>Onsite</p> <p>Work Location</p> <p>77 Avenue Louis Pasteur</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours</p> <p>40</p> <p>Employee Type</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
