When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients require, they turn to us.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Manages and organizes the daily operations of the staff and department services. Oversees all sterilization and decontamination services for the department, including receiving, issuing instrumentation and soft goods. Provides for and encourages staff to participate in education to stimulate interest and promote growth and development. Hires, supervises and trains staff. Demonstrates proper knowledge of Sterile Processing procedures. Follows AAMI, TJC, OSHA and CDC guidelines and partners with Infection Prevention (value stream partner) to ensure patient and colleague safety through diligent tracking and continuous improvement efforts.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent and SPS Certification required. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>5 years of experience in SPS and 2 years of experience in a management role. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certification, Registration</p> <ul> <li>Current "Sterile Processing Management Certification" from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc.
